wealthy bloggers

I know it has been a while since I did an update, well of anything, but this in particular. The last Wealthy Blogger List was in May and it amazed me how most people haven’t moved a whole lot since then. I am sure this is mostly due to market fluctuations but it is interesting all the same. I hope to be cranking out some posts, at least one a week, in the foreseeable future. For now enjoy the updated list of the Wealthy Bloggers.

All changes are as of the last update:

Welcome to the May 2010 update of the wealthy blogger list. Things seem to be plugging right along in the Net Worth arena across the blogosphere. I am sure this past week in the markets has caused some heartburn in the portfolios of many people, but most of these updates are from before that happened so green is a popular color this month. I am a little bit scared to see what happens next month but I am confident the markets will come back to sanity and things will continue on their way. Next month is going to be a blood bath for me, so make sure to stay tuned to see what happens.

It is the 1 Year and 1 month anniversary of the wealthy blogger list. I decided to take a look back at the original list to see how we have come. So there is two lists today. One shows those from the original list who are still on it today and how far they have come over the last year. The second list is the complete wealthy blogger list. On the complete list I tried to mark where people have included assets in their net worth calculation. If they include the value of a home, auto, or other fixed asset I added an * after their net worth value.

Wealthy Bloggers – March 2010

March 9, 2010

For some reason there always seems to be people hating on net worth calculations. I understand some of the issues with it, particularly related to the iliquidity of some of the assets included in the calculations. I personally don’t include any fixed assets in my net worth. No house and no cars. I do include […]
