Friday Finance Followers – Dr. House Edition

I don’t know why but when I watch House I envy the poor twisted man played by Hugh Laurie. It could be the fact that he is a genius or it could be that he saves lives when no one else can. More likely it is the fact he can be a total ass, be totally right, and get away with it. It is the only TV show I honestly look forward to watching, if you haven’t seen it you should. But then I digress this has nothing to do with finance, so check out these articles which actually do:

@NCN tells us how to save money on groceries. I love posts like this because they involve easy things you can do to save. They talk about a printable price book, if you are a geek and want to one up that you could use my “ultimate pricebook database

@FiscalFizzle says it is what you do, not what you say that matters. A great expansion here on the often used, little followed, mantra Lead by example.  Practice what you preach, or more likely, preach what you practice if it works.

@MrsMicah clear up what a regular old credit card looks like. We have all become enamored with  bonus’, rewards, introductory APR’s, and other “benefits” of credit cards. This is a great look at what a regular old card looks like.

@PFFirewall wants you to know 5 ways being stupid will cost you. There are some dumb things you can do that are going to cost you some cash. Check out this list of 5 of them.

@HeyAgainLando had a guest post talking about what your Credit Card Says About your Personality. I don’t know what mine says about me, but I know I used that picture once I couldn’t find it to link to it but I know it is around here somewhere.

Thanks for the inclusion! I agree, House rocks…I think its the fact he actually has a really thick British accent and fakes no accent for the show, how talented 😉

I agree, House is one of the best shows on television, and Hugh Laurie is excellent in the part. Of course, I may just be partial because the show takes place practically in my back yard. 🙂
