CashCrate is one of those Get Paid To (GPT) Sites where you are paid to complete offers, some free and some not so much. It has become tremendously popular with stay at home moms, college students, and just about anyone else with a few minutes and a desire to make some money at home. There is four different ways to earn money with the CashCrate system.
The first and most predominant way is with the offer system for which they are most well known. You will be “paid” to complete survey’s and other offers. Most of these offers are “free” and some require you to pay for subscriptions of sign up for credit cards. The biggest sticking point with the offers is that it is almost impossible to know how much of the offer you have to complete. For the purpose of this article I completed one offer:
Based on the information here all I have to do is download and install the toolbar, I clicked on the link provided and downloaded said piece of potential spyware… err toolbar. With much chagrin I then installed the toolbar, which told me it failed but installed anyway. Go Figure. Once you have completed the offer you need to submit the offer for payment, this will put the .50 payout in your pending queue:
It usually takes a while before you get the credit for your completion once you do it will fall into your earnings bucket. There are some offers which seem easy, like the one I did, and some which send you down a rabbit hole of offers and questions without any real end in sight.
Completing Daily Surveys
The second way you can earn with CashCrate is by completing their daily surveys, you can complete two surveys a day and will be paid .80 for each survey completed. The problem is there is no guarantee you are going to qualify for any given survey so you may spend an hour trying to get two surveys done. $1.60 an hour doesn’t really seem to be to valuable to me.
Shopping Using Affiliate Links
CashCrate’s third way of earning you a little cash on the side is by shopping using their affiliate links. Their list is no where near as long as the list Upromise has, but some of the payouts seem pretty good. You can get 5% from Apple iTunes, 7% from Babies R’ US, and 20% from Flower.com. I have never completed an order through CashCrate but it seems like a definite possibility.
The fourth, and the most lucrative, way to make money with CashCrate is through the referral system. For every referral you make you get 20% of their earnings and an additional 10% of the earnings of every person they refer. When you reach a total of 50 Active referrals that amount increases to 25% and 10%, the complete table of referral bonuses is listed below. In addition to the percentage payouts, you will get a $3.00 bonus when any of your referrals gets to the $10.00 mark.
You are not going to become a millionaire, or a thousandaire just by completing offers and getting referrals. If you do it right though and get a good amount of active referrals you are going to be making a little bit of extra money for doing little to no actual work yourself. You won’t get paid for your efforts until you get at least $20.00 in your account. It is probable that the time you expend completing offers and getting referrals isn’t worth the payout, but if you can build a large enough referral base you are going to get paid. If you are interested in joining and checking it out you can do so by visiting the CashCrate site by clicking on this annoying animated gif and signing up today.
